Carol Sue Johnson, age 73, of Forest, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 7:15am at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
Sue was born on April 1, 1942 in Akron, Ohio, Gerald Russell and Mary Eureke (Sloop) Thompson, both of whom are deceased.
She is survived by her children, Linda Lemon, John McCleary, Mary Giffin and Jane Johnson, along with her 2 granddaughters, Kaitlin and Kaci Johnson. A brother, Gerald Thompson survives along with her companion and caregiver, J.E. "Jim" Forry of Forest.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Thompson.
Sue was aide with the Goodwill in their programs to those with mental illness.
She was a woman of Christian faith that enjoyed cooking, going for rides in the country, reading about the Amish, doing crafts, and listening to music. Sue also enjoyed following the Indians and Reds, and going to the various concerts in the park in Bucyrus and Marion.
A memorial service for Carol Sue Johnson will be held at 7:00pm, Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Becky King officiating.
Visitations will be held 1 hour before service time on Wednesday, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Goodwill, or Hospice of Wyandot County, and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
