Carol Ann King, age 88, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.
Carol was born on December 18, 1936, to James and Alice (Hall) Heffelfinger. She married Robert E. "Bud" King on April 13, 1957, and he preceded her in death on November 14, 1999.
Carol is survived by 2 sons, Terry (Robin) King of Sycamore, James (Jennifer) King of Sevierville, TN, 8 grandchildren: Brandon King of Upper Sandusky, Jager (Emily) King of Oceola, Treston King of Upper Sandusky, Ashley King of North Carolina, Holli (Greg) Chaney of McCutchenville, Adam Sniffen of Findlay, Zak (Kari) King of Findlay, and Kayley Arthur of Upper Sandusky, 10 great grandchildren: Delilah, Jude, Colton, Maggie, Mady, Luke, Brianna, Miranda, Tori, and Gage, 3 great great grandchildren: Miura, Lilly, Charlotte, and two more great great grandchildren on the way. Carol is also survived by her sister in law Jeananne Heffelfinger, and many nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Dale King, and 2 brothers, Russell W. and Clair Eugene.
Carol graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1954 and went on to work at Westinghouse/AO Smith until she retired in 1998. During her retirement, Carol worked at AJ's Heavenly Pizza as a delivery driver, which she enjoyed very much.
Carol was a member of Community Christian Center in Upper Sandusky, and in her younger years she enjoyed spending time at the lake going fishing with her friends and family. Carol was very involved with the Wyandot County Democrats and she enjoyed traveling with her friends, baking, and listening to gospel and country music. Carol was a great woman that was loved by many.
A Funeral service for Carol will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Visitations will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.
