Carlos C. Buckley, age 91 of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Nevada, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 2:13PM at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Carlos was born on March 13, 1921 in Athens County, Ohio, to Joseph and Mildred (Ely) Buckley, both of whom are deceased. He married Marguerite Noggle on December 7, 1942 and she died June 28, 1998.

Surviving are 3 sons, Michael (Lynda) Buckley of rural Nevada, David Buckley of Upper Sandusky and Joseph (Nancy) Buckley of Medina and a daughter, Karen Kochensparger of Lima. Along with 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and 2 brothers, Gerald (Roberta) Buckley and George (Mona) Buckley, both of Athens County.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Todd Buckley, a brother Gilbert and a sister, Doris Albaugh.

Carlos retired from Swan Rubber in Bucyrus after 37 years. He attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Nevada. And was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army.

For hobbies, he enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, hunting, fishing and reading.

Funeral services for Carlos C. Buckley will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Nevada. Burial will follow at Price Cemetery in Marion County.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, March 5, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Fairhaven Community or Muscular Dystrophy Association and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 401 S. Main St. Nevada, OH 48849.
