Brian L. Walter

Brian L. Walter, age 47, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and formerly of Dunkirk, passed away on Monday, August 08, 2011 at 6:15am at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Brian was born on February 20, 1964 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Lynn and Phyllis (Taylor) Walter. He father is deceased and his mother Phyllis is living in Upper Sandusky. He was once married to Margaret Gatchell and they were later divorced.

Surviving are 3 brothers, Larry Walter of McComb, Darren Walter of Upper Sandusky and Nathan (Joan) Walter of McComb. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brian had worked for M-Tek in Upper Sandusky and before that he had worked for Centrex in Findlay, Honda in East Liberty and then in Marysville. Brian was a 1982 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and after school went on to join the Navy, having served for 5 years in San Diego and Hawaii.

Brian attended the Church of the Nazarene in Upper Sandusky and for hobbies he enjoyed camping, reading watching NASCAR and football, especially the Steelers and Buckeyes. He loved to watch movies, play video games, read and watch the History Channel. He will be sadly missed by his Mother and Brothers.

Funeral services for Brian L. Walter will be held at 11:00am Thursday, August 11 at the Church of the Nazarene in Upper Sandusky with the Rev Ben Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Upper Sandusky Veterans Color Guard.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time at the church on Thursday.
