Betty M. Wagner, Age 84, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 12:15pm at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Betty was born on April 14, 1927 to Lester and Nolie V. (Hill) Hogan, both of whom are deceased. She married Alfred B. Wagner on September 3, 1943 at her parents home in Upper Sandusky by Rev. Earl Lutz. and Alfred died on March 16, 2008.


Betty is survived by 3 sons, Rev. Larry (Cynthia) Wagner of Tiffin, Ohio, Michael(Bet) Wagner of Findlay, Ohio, Stephan(Karen) Wagner of Perrysburg and a daughter Becky(John) Frederick of Upper Sandusky. 12 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren Also surviving is a sister Eva Brady in Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, son Thomas E. Wagner, sisters Wanda Lowmaster, Helen Starner, and brothers, Kenneth , Darold, Glen and Robert Hogan.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Gospel Church in Upper Sandusky since 1944, where she taught Sunday School and took part in other ministries within the church.

She also loved to write poetry something she had done since school having had some of her poems published through the years. She enjoyed organic vegetable gardening with her husband and gave fruit and vegetables to everyone who visited. She also loved her flowers and spent many hours working in her flower beds.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30am Monday, January 23 at the Apostolic Gospel Church in Upper Sandusky with Pastors Greg Hord and Larry Wagner officiating. Burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be on Sunday, January 22 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour prior to service time on Monday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Gospel Church and may be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
