Betty R. Myers

Betty R. Myers, age 93, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on November 6, 2018 at 10:10pm at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Betty was born on February 16, 1925 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Earl and Esther (Hummel) Smith, both of whom are deceased. She married Raymond L. Myers on August 1, 1953 in Upper Sandusky, and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1998.

She was survived by nephews: Jerry (Joanne) Bower of Marengo,  Doug (Erma) Parsell of Upper Sandusky, Dennis (Diane) Parsell of Sycamore and Devin (Darlene) Parsell of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, two nieces: Dianna (Dennis) Walton of Sycamore and Donna (Brad) Thomas of Harpster, Sharon Klein, Gloria Stuart, Kay Baker, Deb Rose, Connie Swartz, Joy Gault.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, 3 brothers, Donald, Thomas and Robert and a sister, Rosemary Bower.

Betty worked as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and retired in 1979 after 28 years of service.

She was a member of the Upper Sandusky Eagles Lodge 2184 where she served as secretary for many years. For hobbies, she enjoyed doing crafts, puzzles, raising flowers, and going to her cottage at Lake Erie and fishing.

Funeral services for Betty Myers will be held at 11:00am Monday, November 12, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.  Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery in Brush Ridge, Ohio.

Visitations will be held on Monday, November 12, from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
