Betty V. Byrd

Betty V. Byrd, age 74, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died
Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 10:19pm at the Emergency
Room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.


Betty was born on October 11, 1933 in Blackstar, Kentucky, to
John and Hermia (Stewart) Hoskins, both of whom are deceased.
She married Albert Byrd on July 9, 1955 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and he died on February 25, 2005.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Chotikasupaseraner of Newhall, California and a son, Timothy Byrd of Upper Sandusky. Mrs. Byrd is also survived by a granddaughter, Justine Kessler of New Albany, and two step grandsons, Nate Franz and Luke Franz, both of Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Lester Hoskins and two sisters, Justine Alpha Lee Smith and Lena Tuttle.

Betty was a homemaker and a member of the former Church of God in Upper Sandusky. For hobbies she enjoyed reading, especially her bible, gardening, playing the piano and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, October 8th. at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held 1 hour before the service, 1:00pm to 2:00pm, at the funeral home on Wednesday.
