Bettie J. Kheune

Bettie J. Kheune, age 96, of Marion, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 6:10am in her home in Marion.

Bettie was born on November 2, 1927 in Chicago, Illinois to Gaylord and Dora ( Cope) Wilson, both of whom are deceased.  She married  Walter F. Kheune on April 20, 1947 in Greencamp, Ohio, and he passed away on December 22, 2016.

She is also survived by 3 children: Connie (Frank) Webb of Nevada, Larry Kheune of Marion, Phyllis (Dan) Alspach of Bucyrus, along with 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, with one on the way. Also surviving is a her beloved caregiver, Cindy Holman.

Bettie was a homemaker, and at one time had worked for the former Millington Manufacturing, and Walmart of Marion.

She was a member of Heritage Bible Church in Marion, and for hobbies she enjoyed word finds, reading, and baking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 daughters, Sandra Bowyer and Diane Young, a granddaughter, Jennifer Young, 3 sisters, Velma Wilson, Margie Reed, and Doris Outhwaite, and a  brother, Gerald Wilson.

Funeral services for Bettie Kheune will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, March 23, at the Heritage Bible Church at 193 Marion-Williamsport Rd E, Marion with Pastor Brian Bailey officiating.  Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations will be held 1 hour before service time, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, Saturday at the church.
