Bertie Lucille (Hall) Seaman

Bertie Lucille Seaman, age 91, formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida and Fostoria, Ohio; and more recently she was a resident of Westbook Assisted Living and Memory Care of Upper Sandusky, and Presidential Post Acute in Marion, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 10:55 PM.

Bertie was born in Clarksville, Tennessee, on April 26, 1931, to Robert C. and Carrie E. Hall and they preceded her in death. She was the widow of Kenneth Rozelle, former Superintendent of Fostoria's Cemetery and Park, to whom she was married to for over 50 years. Later she married Elwood Seaman, who had retired from General Motors as a security officer in Michigan and was residing in Port Charlotte, Florida. He passed 15 years later. Both husbands were in the military, Kenny in the Army and Elwood in the Marines.

She is survived by her 2 sisters; Ann Dube of Turner, Maine, and Gloria (Philip) Orians of Harpster, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, step-daughter Gloria Moore, 3 step-sons; Gregg, John, and Gary Seaman, 2 brothers; Robert F. and Allen Hall, 3 sisters; Myrtle Harvey, Anna Hahn, and Alice Stewart, and brother in law Roger Dube.

Bertie was a homemaker and an employee of Bud's Bakery in Fostoria, Ohio. She was also an employee of Excello Corporation (now Textron) in Fostoria, Ohio, for 20 years. She enjoyed fishing with Kenny and family members at their Sugar Island, Michigan cabin. She was known for her delicious vegetable soup and homemade beef and noodles. She always made family birthday and all-occasion cakes as she was an excellent cake decorator. She enjoyed traveling and visited Arizona, California, Canada, Florida, Maine, Michigan, New York, Tennessee, and Texas during her lifetime.

She was a kind loving sister, whom you could always count on, and she will be missed dearly.

A funeral service for Bertie Lucille Seaman will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2023, at Knollcrest Memory Garden in Arcadia, Ohio.

Visitations will be held from 2:00 – 5:00 PM on Tuesday, at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
