Barbara A. Treadway

Barbara Ann Treadway, 64, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, in Findlay, Ohio.

She was born on April 6, 1956 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Howard and Juanita Kauble Rieser.  Barb married the love of her life, Jeffrey Treadway, on September 3, 1972, at John Steward United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky and he proceeded her in death in 1991. Barb was also preceded in death by her father Howard, and her sister Beverly Gottfried.

Barb leaves behind her mother Juanita; children Kimberly (Eric) Kelsoe, Jay (Angie) Treadway; grandchildren Kayley (Trevor Cook) Treadway, Elizabeth and Kathryn Kelsoe, and Taylor and Eli Appleby; great-grandchildren Brayven and Dawson Cook; and siblings Mark Rieser, Marianne (Ken Graves) Ulrich, and Jonathan (Jane) Rieser.  As well as many nieces and nephews.  All of whom will miss her dearly.

Barbara worked for her mother and father at Millroad Orchards managing the market and baking thousands of pies until she was struck with encephalitis in 1993.  After making a miraculous recovery, she volunteered at Wyandot County Hospice, Trinity Evangelical children's ministry and Fairhaven for many years.  Despite Barb's many challenges in life she never complained and was always willing to help others.

She loved her family and enjoyed baking pies and breads and making wonderful salads.  She also enjoyed music, gardening, Scrabble and recently, a good game of Words with Friends.

Family and close friends are cordially invited to visit with Barb's family on Monday, February 15, 2021, from 3:00pm – 6:00pm at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

A funeral service for Barbara Treadway will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2021 at 11:00am at the funeral home and will be officiated by Rev. Jim Stauffer. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.
