Upper Sandsky

Barbara Sue Pike, age 90, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at her home in Upper Sandusky.

Barbara was born on July 13, 1936 in Ravenswood, West Viginia, to Ola Claude Woodyard and Pansy Moore Woodyard. Her father passed when Barbara was young, and her mother then married Orville Oliver Casto, and both are deceased.

She was once married to Ronald Eyestone, and Craig Bowman. Then Barbara married Neil Pike on April 24, 2010, and he survives in Upper Sandusky.

Barbara is survived by her sons, David (Kathleen) Eyestone of Westerville, and Dean Eyestone of Columbus, and her extended children, Thomas (Lynn) Pike of Great Falls, Montana, Greg (Edna) Pike of Detroit, Michigan, David (Shawn) Pike of Coshocton, Ohio, Veronica (Scott) Hendrick of Parrish, Florida, and Betsy Pike of Muncie, Indiana, Steve (Cheryl) Bowman of Upper Sandusky, Kyle (Teena) Bowman of Harpster, and Beverly (Michael) Weingart of Palm Harbor, Florida, along with 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Woodyard.

Barbara was a graduate of Ravenswood High School and went on to Ohio University and received Bachelors degree in Education. She taught for 30 years in the Upper Sandusky School System, for many of the years at the former Salem Elementary School, along with some at East school.

She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Church, and also enjoyed her time at Stone Crossing.

Barbara was a voracious reader, bridge player, and enjoyed her time on the golf course, having had a Hole In One at Kings Mill. She also enjoyed spending time and traveling with her high school friends “The Duds” through the years, along with her local friends Joey and Marcina, and their time in Naples Florida in the winter.

Barb will be remembered for her warm heart, friendly nature, and loving spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Above all else, her greatest love was her family. She devoted her life to raising and supporting her children, often shouldering the responsibilities on her own. Through hard work, countless sacrifices, and unwavering dedication, she always put her children’s needs before her own. Her sons were the center of her world, and the special bond they shared was one of the greatest joys of her life. The love, care, and devotion she gave them throughout the years will live on forever in their hearts. Barb’s strength, selflessness, and unconditional love helped shape the family she treasured so deeply, and her love will remain a lasting part of all who knew her.
