Barbara K. Broseus

Barbara K. Broseus, age 77, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 5:51pm at her home with her loving family by her side.

Barbara was born on December 23, 1941 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Leon and Alice (Krebs) Trautwein.

Barbara married Floyd "Gene" Broseus on September 23, 2008 in Sevierville, Tennessee and he survives in Upper Sandusky.

She is survived by her former husband, Roger Orians, and 4 children: Brian (Cheryl) Orians, Bonnie (Bob) Thiel, Bruce Orians, and Brenda (David) Patton. 10 grandchildren: Tye Orians, Trenna (Willy) Ohl, Trisha (John Embry) Orians, Emily and Abby Thiel, Caleb (Kara) Orians, Reece and William Orians, Amanda and Josh Patton, along with 4 great grandchildren: Gavin Wagner, Dylan Orians, Tesla and Noah Orians. 2 step grandchildren, Mike and Robb Thiel, and 5 step great grandchildren.

Barbara is also survived by her siblings: Nancy O'Neill, Larry (Diane) Trautwein, Ruth (John) Vogel, and Janet (Ron) Ratliff, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Roger.

She was a 1959 graduate of Salem High School and was a member of the former St. Joseph Salem Catholic Church.

Barbara worked for 27 years at the Steer Barn restaurant.

For hobbies she enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, bird watching, bingo and traveling.

Barbara was a kind, considerate, unobtrusive, loving, and non-judgmental person without a mean bone in her body. She was a beautiful human. Her last words to her husband Gene were, "I need a hug".

It was Barbara's wish to be cremated, with a private Celebration of Life service for her to be held at a later date.
