Avis D. Logan

Avis D. Logan, age 76, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died Sunday,
July 12, at her residence.

Avis was born on March 19, 1933 in Pitt Township, Wyandot County, Ohio to Casper H. and Violet (Thompson) Barth both of whom are deceased. She married Donald L. Logan on March 14, 1953 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and he passed away on February 14, 2006.

Avis is survived by a son, John Mark (Brenda) Logan of Kenton, Ohio, two daughters, Sandy (Keith) Dyer of Sycamore, Ohio, and Sharon (Jim) Hook of Forest, Ohio. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Tracy Dyer, Crystal Dyer, Amanda Logan, Sarah Hook, J.D. Hook, and Casey Logan and 3 great grandchildren, Brittany Miller, McKenna Logan and McKayla Logan. Along with a sister, Norma (Vernon) Spiegel of Nevada, Ohio.

Avis was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, Hubert Barth, and a sister, June Spiegel.

Avis was a homemaker and had worked at Westinghouse for 14 years and then at Fairhaven Home for 10 years. She was a 1952 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School.

Avis attended Community Christian Center in Upper Sandusky. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Upper Sandusky, and for hobbies she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, flower gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family.
