Audrey M. Richmond

Audrey M. Richmond, age 80, formerly of Nevada, Ohio and
most recently of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 4:20am at Heartland Nursing Home of Bucyrus.

Audrey was born on April 7, 1931 in Lewis County, Kentucky to Arthur and Myrtle (Creswell) Edington, both of whom are deceased. She married Herbert E. "Herb" Richmond on November 20, 1952 in Vanceburg, Kentucky and he died February 27, 1995.

Surviving are a son Chuck (Krista) Richmond of Bucyrus, and two daughters, Delores Richmond of Nevada and Shirley (Don) Johns of Bucyrus. Six grandchildren, Aimee Richmond, Stacee Michaels-Brown, Ryan Richmond, Kinsey Richmond, Ellie Richmond and Austin Johns and four great grandchildren, Chase Brown, Emilee Brown and Drayden and Westin Gimlich along with a brother, Jim (Hazel) Edington and a sister, Evelyn (Forest) Butler, both of Lewis County, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Carl and Earl Edington, and 4 sisters, Dessie Osborne, Stella Butler, Bernita Dennis, Jean Brewer

She was homemaker and retired from Outhwaite's Laundry of Bucyrus. She began her work career as a teacher in Lewis County, Kentucky in a one room school house teaching grades 1 through 8. She then taught kindergarten at Nevada Elementary School in Nevada, Ohio. After that she worked 17 years for Ekelberry Poultry in Bucyrus.

Audrey was a member of the Bucyrus Freewill Baptist Church and for hobbies she enjoyed reading, going to church, visiting with friends, traveling with her cousin Wanda, camping and spending time with her kids and grandchildren.

Funeral services for Audrey Richmond will be held at 11:00AM Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky .Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 1, from 2:00PM to 5:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
