Arthur Sealey

Arthur Sealey, age 87, formerly of Republic, Ohio and had been a resident since 1999 of Fairhaven Retirement and Healthcare Community in Upper Sandusky, died Friday, August 03, 2007 at 4:53am at Fairhaven.

Arthur was born on February 15, 1920 in Delaware, Ohio to Charles L. and Martha J. (Collins) Sealey and both are deceased. Arthur was first married to Mary Blankenship and she is deceased. He then married Mildred F. Snyder on March 26, 1967 at the Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky and she died January 8, 2004.

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Dearold Sealey, Francis Sealey, Richard Sealey, Rollie Sealey and Walter Sealey. And also two sisters: Esther Brown and Betty Altman.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Arthur had worked for over 25 years for ExCel Wire in Tiffin. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky. A life member of the D.A.V. He was a World War II veteran, European Theater, having served in the Army. For hobbies, Arthur enjoyed traveling, vegetable and flower gardening and fishing.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 6, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Rev. David Roach will be officiating the service. Burial will be held at Old Mission Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by various veteran service organizations. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, August 5, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County and or Fairhaven Home
