Annabelle Mae Dairy

Annabelle Mae Dairy, age 87, formerly of rural Harpster, Ohio and most recently of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 6:40pm in the Fairhaven Retirement and Healthcare Community in Upper Sandusky.

Ann was born on September 9, 1924 in Antrim Township, Wyandot County to Elza and Leila (Flechsenhar) Swartz, both of whom are deceased. She married John E. "Jack" Dairy on August 23, 1946 in Marion, Ohio and he passed away on April 12, 1991.

Surviving are 3 sons, Dwight E. (Rosemary) Dairy of Harpster, Robert A. (Deb) Dairy of Pensacola, Florida, Mark E. (Anita) Dairy of Nevada and a daughter Deborah ( Jack) Leslie of Upper Sandusky. 7 Grandchildren, Melissa Stiltner, Heather Schuck, Shannon Gary, Tiffany Briglin, Heath McGrew, Jacob Dairy, Leah Branford and 12 great grandchildren Makayla Briglin, Madison Briglin, Will Schuck, Jack Schuck, Katie Schuck, Andrew Stiltner, Meghan Stiltner, Mason Dairy, Kyleigh Leslie, Danny McGrew, Kana McGrew and Kelby McGrew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter Amber Dairy and a great grandson Kane, along with a sister Donna I. Swartz.and a son in law Danny McGrew and a grandson in law, Dean Stiltner.

Ann was a homemaker and worked for 7 years as a ward secretary for Marion Med Center Hospital. She was a long time member of the Nevada Lutheran Church, member of the Nevada Garden Club where she served at one time as president, Creative Eight Extension Group, and a former 4H advisor, and a member of the Central Ohio Wagoneers of which she hosted at her home at various times. She also volunteered at various places within the community, such as Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Fairhaven Home, and the Wyandot Historical Society and also spent time taking EMT classes.

For hobbies, Ann enjoyed animals especially her horses, along with oil painting, raising flowers and she loved to spend time with her family, all of whom she loved very much.

Funeral services for Annabelle M. Dairy will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Officiating the service will be Ann's son Robert Dairy. Burial will follow in Nevada Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday, February 1, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
