Allen L. Beidelschies, age 88, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio
passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 1:45am at
Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Allen was born on December 13, 1921 in Salem Township - Wyandot County, Ohio to Harry and Ethel (Justice) Beidelschies both of whom are deceased. He married Colene (Traucht) Beidelschies on March 28, 1951 in Arlington, Ohio and she survives in Upper Sandusky.

Allen is survived by four children, Paul (Kathy-Jo) Beidelschies of Arlington, Phillip (Charlene) Beidelschies of Upper Sandusky, Beth (David) Smith of Upper Sandusky, and Gene (Tammy) Beidelschies of Forest, Ohio, fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
He is also survived by a sister, Anna Marie Binau of Upper Sandusky.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Ruth Ann Beidelschies, four brothers, John, Paul, Robert, and Russell Beidelschies, and three sisters, Mary Jane Davis, Donna Ruth Schoenberger, and Leah Comstock.

Allen was a third generation farmer in Wyandot County. He also was a
1942 graduate of Salem High School.

Allen was a member of the former Bethany Lutheran Church in rural Upper Sandusky and then transferred upon the closing of Bethany to First Lutheran church. He was a council member for over 30 years, and a dartball captain for many years and also had taught Sunday School at Bethany.

Funeral Services for Allen L. Beidelschies will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Joe Trester officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 2:00pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour
before service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Gideons, or the donor's choice in care of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
