Allan E. Goodman, age 76, most recently of Carey, and formerly of Upper Sandusky, went to his heavenly home with the Lord of Heaven and Earth, on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.
Allan was born on March 7, 1948, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Earl Wilson "Katy" and Ann (Stout) Goodman.
He is survived by his brothers, Roger (Betsy) Goodman of Okemos, Michigan, Gary (Jean) Goodman of Greensboro, North Carolina, along with nephews, Bryan and Eric Goodman.
He was preceded in death by his father Earl Wilson "Katy" Goodman, and mother, Ann Goodman Baker, and stepfather, Wellington Baker.
Allan graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1966 and continued his education at the University of Michigan receiving his Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Allan then went on to Stanford University graduating with his Master's degree. He then entered the service as a 2nd Lieutenant and served 2 years before being honorably discharged. Upon his return to civilian life, Allan continued his education for 3 years at the Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Allan was a devout Christian and was a member of the Community Christian Center in Upper Sandusky.
He enjoyed listening to his vinyl records, playing piano for the church and personal pleasure, skiing, swimming, singing, reading the bible, praying, working on cars and engines, watching tv, following sports, especially OSU, Stanford and Michigan, learning computers and smartphones, and sending texts and emails to friends and family.
It was Allan's wishes that his services be private, with Pastor Bill Williamson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
