Alice Anne Sebenoler

May 13, 1936 — May 20, 2024

Alice Anne Sebenoler (Anne), beloved sister, wife, mother, grandma, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 20th, 2024, at the glorious age of 88. Born on May 13, 1936, she touched the lives of many with her kindness, resilience, and unwavering love.

Preceded in death by her father, Dwight Larcomb Sr. (1904-1990) and mother, Cora (Swartz) (1909-1967), and her loving husband, Robert (Bob) (1936-1998), along with her sister Barbara (Kiefer) (1927-2010), brother Dwight Jr. (1934-2022), and half-sister Dorthy Jean (Edgar) (1924-1996), Anne now rests in eternal peace with her loved ones above.

She was born in Harpster, Ohio, graduating from Upper High School in 1954, and Grant Hospital School of Nursing in 1957.  Anne is survived by her brother David (Ruth) and sister Linda Schwarzell (John).  Anne is also survived by her sons, Jeff (Kelly), Matt (Kim), and Dave (Mickie), along with 8 grandchildren (Bobby, Sarah, Mark, Jack, Nick, Ali, Jenna and Thomas) and leaves behind a legacy of compassion and grace. Her warm smile and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Anne's profession as a nurse exemplified her passion for helping people, and she spent over 45 years in the field after graduating from Grant.  One of her proudest accomplishments was receiving her nurse's cap, which she called her "dignity".  Even after retirement, she continued to look forward to spending time with her sister nurses and friends during the annual reunion banquet.

She also loved puzzles and was known to while away the time solving anagrams, word jumbles and crossword puzzles.  Jeopardy! was considered to be sacred time and everyone knew not to call while the show was on, except during Final Jeopardy when she would talk with her brother Dwight on the phone to see who could get the answer first!  She also enjoyed reading books of all kinds, often losing herself in the pages of timeless literature. She said she had read every book in the Upper Sandusky library and that's likely true.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to The Mount Carmel Foundation in Anne's name https://donor.mountcarmelfoundation.org/.

A celebration of life will be held at Harrison Smith Park (Arts Pavilion) in Upper Sandusky on June 29th, from noon-4pm.  Please bring any photos and memories you might like to share.

May her memory continue to inspire us all and remind us to live every day to the fullest.  Rest in Peace, Mom. We miss you.
