Alene Worthington

Alene Worthington, 74, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died at 5:50 pm Saturday, May 26 at her residence.

Alene was born June 22, 1932 in Carter City, KY to Jacob & Elizabeth (Davis) Rice and both are deceased. She married James Worthington on Sept. 6, 1946 in Greenup, Kentucky and he survives. Also surviving is a son Randy and his wife Terri, Worthington of Indianapolis, Indiana and a grandson Michael Worthington. Alene was preceded in death by 2 brothers Dan and Harvey Rice.

Alene retired from Westinghouse in Upper Sandusky in 1974. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Upper Sandusky. For hobbies Alene enjoyed keeping her hands busy by crocheting, knitting and quilting.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 31, 2007 at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Burial will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery also in Upper Sandusky. Officiating will the the Rev. Charles Steward & Rev. Randy Worthington. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
