Adda W. Zimmerman

Adda W. Zimmerman, age 98, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 10:45pm at the Fairhaven Retirement and Healthcare Community in Upper Sandusky.

Adda was born on February 8, 1914 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to George R. and Bertha E. (Swartz) Irwin, both of whom are deceased. She married Gilbert H. "Hank" Zimmerman on February 16, 1952 at the John Stewart United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, and he passed away on November 13, 2000.

Adda is survived by a sister Katherine Smith of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and locally by The Dauterman/Seal Families and the Zimmerman Families.

Adda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and three brothers, George R. Irwin Jr., John Irwin and Fredrick B. Irwin.

Adda was a Homemaker and Co-Owner of Zimmerman Printing Since 1964 and retiring in 1991. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and Lutheran Church Women, Warpole #366 OES 60 year member and past worthy matron in 1946 and also served at as district president. Member of Upper Sandusky Literary Club and former charter member of the Usando Literary Club. . For hobbies Adda loved to play organ and piano, gardening roses along with doing yard work, and traveling with Hank to Lakeside and Greenville.

Funeral services for Adda W. Zimmerman will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, April 24, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Jarrod Schaaf. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitations will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday April 23rd with an OES Memorial Service to be held at 7:45PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
