Thomas Siegel Obituary

Thomas William Siegel, age 46, of Rineyville, Kentucky, and formerly of Upper Sandusky,  passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at his home.

 

Tom was born on May 22, 1972 in Tiffin, Ohio, to Robert and Gayle (Thompson) Siegel, of Upper Sandusky. He was married to Amy Siegel and she survives in Noblesville, Indiana.

 

He is survived by his 4 sons: Cody (Karyssa) Siegel of Westfield, Indiana, Caleb Siegel of Fort Riley, Kansas, Zachary (Haley) Siegel of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and Kein (Paije) Siegel of Fortville, Indiana. 3 grandchildren, Jovie, Chase and Zaley along with a sister Tina (Jim) Mathias of Findlay, Ohio, and Mike (Linda) Siegel of Upper Sandusky.

 

He was preceded in death by his 2 brothers:  Robert Siegel II, and Todd Allen Siegel.

 

Tom graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1991 and then enlisted into the US Army, and then transitioned into the US Air Force, where he participated in multiple deployments, retiring as a Master Sergeant after 24 years.  He was currently employed at Fort Knox in Kentucky.

 

He also served local law enforcement with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office,  and as a police officer with the Findlay and Upper Sandusky Police departments.

 

For hobbies, Tom enjoyed riding the Harley and participating with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.  He also enjoyed doing CrossFit, and spending his time with his dog and faithful friend Jaxy.

 

 Funeral services for Thomas W. Siegel will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, July 26, 2018

At the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating.

Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, where Military Graveside Rites will be conducted.

 

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, where a scripture service will be held at 7:45pm at the funeral home on Wednesday.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Adaptive Sports Program and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
