Randy W. Alspach, age 65, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at 12:17am in his home.
He was born July 13, 1953, in Upper Sandusky to Hugh and Audrey (Donelson) Alspach. He married Nancy Barth on September 7, 1974, and she survives.
Surviving are children Kurt (Tammy) Alspach of Marseilles, Kip (Emily) Alspach, and Kelly (Joshua) Weatherholtz, both of Upper Sandusky; nine grandchildren Shelby Mofford, Allyson Shane, Brittany Walton, Emalee Alspach, Kaitlyn Walton, Peyton Alspach, Lucas Alspach, Cecelia Alspach and Miriam Alspach; one great-grandchild Cristopher Alspach; four sisters Carol Alspach, Bonnie Blanton, Kathy (Dale) Huffman and Shirley Johns; two brothers Roger (Martha) Alspach and William (Deb) Alspach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one great-grandchild Eilieen Stutz, two brothers Steve Alspach, Robert Alspach and one sister Charlotte Alspach.
Randy retired from Uni-Grip Inc. in Upper Sandusky after working 38 years.
He went to Upper Sandusky High School and was a lifetime member of the Amvets.
He also served his country in the Navy as a parachute rigger on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt and the USS America from 1973-1977
For hobbies, Randy loved to travel, go fishing, and watching football.
Funeral services for Randy will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, May 11, 2019, at
Lucas-Batton Funeral Home with Randy’s sister Carol Alspach officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery where military graveside rites will be held by the Upper Sandusky Color Guard.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
