Pauline L. Giles, age 100, formerly of Harpster, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 1:40am at the New Albany Care Center.
Pauline was born on August 6, 1918 in Wyandot County, Ohio, to Charles and Clara (Fleck) Balduf. She married Rev. Dalesford Osbun Giles on August 25, 1939 in Prospect, Ohio, and he passed away on February 5, 2003.
She is survived by 3 sons: Darwin (Louise) Giles of New Albany, Alan (Rosemary) Giles of Harpster, Terry (Laura) Giles of Harpster, and 3 daughters: Elaine Kaye (Frank) Comer of Bucyrus, Marlane Gaye (Stephen) Wagner of Macy, Indiana, and Bonnie (Berford) Couch of Harpster. 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
Pauline is also survived by a sister: Laura Collet of Livonia, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson Stephen, 3 brothers: Donald, Frederick Dean, and Charles, and a sister Jane Bishop.
Pauline was a homemaker and at one time worked at the former Millington Plastics in Upper Sandusky.
She was a former member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where she played the organ, and then of the Evangelistic Messengers Association.
For hobbies, she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning, cooking, raising flowers, and reading her bible.
Funeral services for Pauline Giles will be held at 11:00am Monday, November 19, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Rodney Noblit officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, November 18, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
