Patrick "Pat" R. Johns

Patrick “Pat” R. Johns, age 64, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017 in the Emergency Room of Blanchard Valley Hospital.

Pat was born on March 17, 1953 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Curtis LeRoy and Hazel (Kissling) Johns, both of whom are deceased.  He married Amy Patrick on October 26, 1973 in Carey, Ohio and she survives.

He is survived by 2 children: Jason Johns of Findlay and Lora (Joseph) Bianchi of Forest, and four grandchildren: Anthony, Mackinley, Harmony and Jeremiah Bianchi.  Two brothers: Lester “Skip” Johns of LaRue, Ohio, Cliff (Mindy) Johns of Upper Sandusky, also survive.

A brother, Steve Johns, and two sisters, Betty Noggle and Gwendolyn, who died in infancy, preceded him in death.

Pat worked for 39 years at National Lime & Stone, and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18.  He was a member of So-Han-Co Sportsman Club in Arlington and enjoyed spending time with his camping family at Heritage Springs Campground in Vanlue.

He was an avid sudoku player and enjoyed going to Las Vegas, following the OSU Buckeyes, watching western movies and playing board games with his family.  Pat was a Dale Earnhardt fan and known to be a practical joker.

 Pat will be remembered for his love of family and his devotion as a husband and grandpa.

Funeral services for Pat Johns will be held at 11:00am Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Pastor Dennis Croy officiating.  Burial will be at Spring Grove cemetery in Carey at a later date.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Ministries and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio  43351.
