Norma J. Hankins, age 82, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at the Laurel’s of Coldwater, in Coldwater, Michigan.
Norma was born September 13, 1936 in Wyandot County and was the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (Gallant) VanBuskirk. She married Rex Dale Hankins on November 14, 1954 at Marseilles United Methodist Church and he survives.
She is survived by 4 children, Debra Crawford, Rochester Hills, Michigan, Rob Dale (Kelly) Hankins, Lorain, Ohio, Randy (Vickie) Hankins, Galion, Ohio, Diane (Bob Garza) Hankins, Quincy, Michigan. Along with 9 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Norma is also survived by 2 sisters, Rebecca (Randy) Schwilk, Upper Sandusky, and Ruth Patten, Toledo, Ohio, along with a brother, Gary (Maxine) VanBuskirk, Marion, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Rosalie Morris and 2 brothers, David VanBuskirk and Dana VanBuskirk.
Norma was a homemaker and a nurses aid at Fairhaven and worked at Big Wheel, McDonalds, all in Upper Sandusky, and managed a condo in Florida for 6 years.
She was an avid reader, and enjoyed bingo and playing the slots for hobbies.
Funeral Services for Norma J. Hankins will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Denny Delong officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Visitations will be from 1:00pm – 3:00pm on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
