Miriam Koehler – Goodman

Miriam J. Goodman, age 84, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died at home on August 10, 2017 in the care of her family and Hospice of Wyandot County.

Miriam was born in Wyandot County, Ohio on May 19, 1933 to the late Isaac Corfman and Cora (Haas) Corfman.  She was first married to Ronald E. Koehler, and then married Stan Goodman; both preceded her in death.

  She is survived by her son, Daniel R. Koehler and his wife Vicki (Riedlinger) Koehler, granddaughter Andrea (Chad) Harrell, grandson, Adam Koehler,  stepson, Mark Goodman, as well as two step grandchildren, Chad and Kisha.  A sister, Jean Maxwell of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and a brother, Wayne Corfman of Ft. Pierce, Florida also survive.

Preceding Miriam in death were husbands Ronald Koehler and Stan Goodman, a sister, Doris Margraf and a brother, James Maurice Corfman.

Miriam attended Eden School for eleven years and then graduated from Nevada High School in 1951.  She worked in retail sales at various businesses, including Sears, Elder-Beerman, and The MaryAnn Clothing shop in Upper Sandusky.

Miriam was a long time member of the Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky.

 She enjoyed exploring her family history, visiting historical places, antiques, hunting mushrooms, collecting key chains and playing cards.

Funeral services for Miriam Goodman will be held at 11:00 am Monday August 14, 2017 at Trinity Evangelical UMC in Upper Sandusky with Rev Jim Stauffer and Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating. 

 Visitation will be held 2 hours before service time at the Trinity Evangelical UMC.

Memorial contributions for Miriam Goodman may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County or to Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church and may be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave.  Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
