Michael "Mike" J. Evans

Michael “Mike” J. Evans, age 74, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

Mike was born on May 1, 1945 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Robert R. and Mavis (Liles) Evans.

He is survived by 3 sisters:  Sue (Dave) Pees, and Linda Gifford, both of Upper Sandusky, and Shelby Rose of Parkers Lake, Kentucky.  Mike is also survived by his many nieces and nephews whom all adored their Uncle Mike.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Robert “Bob” L. Evans. 

Mike was known by many for the window washing services he provided for many local businesses in downtown Upper Sandusky for several years accompanied by his friendly smile.

He was a member of the Upper Sandusky Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

For hobbies, Mike enjoyed following the Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Reds, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.  He also enjoyed doing circle word puzzles and playing cards.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date with burial taking place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
