Martha Jane Kissling, age 97, of Upper Sandusky, and formerly of Nevada, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 5:56am at Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care in Upper Sandusky.
Martha Jane was born on August 18, 1920 in Nevada Ohio, to Raymond and Mary (Bardon) Creger. She married Dale W. Kissling on May 3, 1943 in Tacoma, Washington and he passed away on October 9, 2009.
She is survived by a son, Roger A.(Trudy) Kissling of Sycamore, Ohio, two daughters, Joyce Arleene Baldosser of Bucyrus, Ohio and Linda (Chris) Cooper of Monnett, Ohio, eight grandchildren, Scott (Sara) Baldosser, Jennifer (Jeremy) Hall, Laura (Doug) Keller, Marcie (Tom) Bay, Kail Kissling, Cody(Brittany Maskey), Clay(Allison), and Clint (Brooke) Cooper and 12 great grandchildren, Alec, Erin and Avery Baldosser, Amanda, Hannah and Emily Hall, Ashley, Kayla and Allison Keller, Luke, Nick Bay, Riley and Holly Kissling, Azura, Cameron, and Aubrey Cooper. Along with a brother Thomas (Carol) Creger of Bucyrus, and a sister, Helen (Gary) Thomas of Helmit, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Franklin Creger, and 2 sisters, Dorothy White and Mary Walter.
Martha Jane was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Nevada Lutheran Church in Nevada. She was also a member of the former Stitch & Chatter Club, Creative Eighth Club, the Nevada Senior Citizens and the Happy Travelers Club, also in Nevada, and the Wyandot County Senior Citizens.
For hobbies she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking, along with gardening and preserving food for her family.
Funeral services for Martha Jane Kissling will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Tim Nilsen officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 24, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada.
