Lucile was born on July 18, 1923 near Nevada, Ohio, to Sherman and Helen (Stehr) McConahy, both of whom are deceased.  She was first married to Dale Robert Suter on April 14, 1942, and he passed away on February 28, 1952.  She then married Gerald Robert Balliet on November 18, 1967, and he passed on October 27, 1984.

She is survived by her son Ron (Cathy) Suter of Nevada, 2 granddaughters, Kelli (Dale) Smith of Upper Sandusky, and Deana (Ryan) Stuckman of Bucyrus.  Along with 7 great grandchildren: Tori Smith, Lexie (Tim Heaton) Smith, Steven Smith, Josie Smith, Kayli (Lance Pinter) Stuckman, Jade Stuckman, and Jace Stuckman.

Lucile was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a brother, Milton McConahy.

She was a 1941 graduate of Nevada High School.  Lucile went on to work at GE during WWII.  Following the death of her husband Dale, she was a cook at the former Wyandot School, then a produce assistant at Bucyrus groceries and later as a secretary for Swan Rubber.  She and her husband Gerald ran Balliet Farms where they boarded, bred and foaled standardbred race horses for over 17 years.

Lucile was a member of the Nevada United Methodist Church. She was more than 75-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star first in Nevada and later in the Warpole Chapter #366 OES.  She was a member of the United States Trotting Association.

For hobbies, she was an avid euchre player, enjoyed traveling and taking various day trips, and attending many harness races at various county fairs.  She attended 50 consecutive Little Brown Jug Harness Races in Delaware.

She will be remembered for her greatest joys: her friends, her family, especially her granddaughters and great grandchildren.
