Lorette Willson was born August 15, 1966 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to the late John and Mary Jane Constien. The youngest of four children, she forged her own carefree path through life, living each day to its fullest.
After high school and beauty academy graduations, she worked as a hairdresser before leaving to help operate her parents’ business, The Corner Store. She enjoyed gardening, catering and all things related to cooking. She married Jeff Willson on January 21, 1989 and a son, Cody Lee, was born later that year. Her passions were her family and friends and her ease at conversation meant she never met a stranger.
Lorette was diagnosed with leukemia in December of 2016, yet never let it diminish her positive outlook on life nor her quest to complete daily goals. She passed away at home on Monday, April 23rd, surrounded by family and close friends.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff, her son, Cody, daughter-in-law, Amanda, brothers Lee and Lance, sister Linette Corwin, and in-laws Don and Marilyn Willson.
A casual, outdoor Memorial Service followed by a Life Celebration reception will be open to the public this Friday at 6pm at the family farm, 2493 TH 47 in Nevada, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Pitt Township Volunteer Fire Department and can be sent to the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
