Sarah Louise Prince-VanBuskirk, age 74, of Nevada, Ohio passed away
on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 6:27pm at the Bucyrus Community Hospital.
Sarah was born on November 28, 1942 in Old Town, Kentucky to
Arthur L Prince and Edith Ann (Nunley) Prince.
She is survived by one son, David Wayne VanBuskirk of Upper Sandusky, Ohio and one daughter, Rosalie VanBuskirk-Eulett, also of Upper Sandusky. Three grand-children: Gary David and Phillip Edward Eullett and Ryan Stanley VanBuskirk also survive as well as 4 great-grandchildren: Andrew and Audrey Rose and Quinn Eli and Shaelee. Special friends are: Durella Crews and Joyce Penwell of Upper Sandusky and Virginia Brothers of Kentucky.
A brother, Herman Prince of Nevada and two sisters, Dorothy Ard, and
Susie (Bob) Blankenship, both of Nevada, also survive.
Sarah was preceded in death by 7 brothers: Lonnie, Zulus, Albert, Charles, James, Donald Sr., and Raymond who died in infancy.
Sarah retired after 20 years in the housekeeping department with the former Wyandot Manor Nursing Home in Upper Sandusky. She also will be remembered for the many
children for whom she did babysitting throughout the years.
She was a woman of faith having churched with Church of Christ and Nazarene churches, and was a former member of the Eagles Lodge # 2184 in Upper Sandusky.
Sarah enjoyed for hobbies, playing bingo, cooking, baking, and will be remembered
for her loving spirit to others, especially her nieces, nephews, and others in the community where her home was always open to everyone.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, April 6 at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home with the
Rev. Ray Lasalle, officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm Thursday, April 6
at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
