Mark A. Parsell

Mark A. Parsell, age 62, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:50pm at The Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.

Mark was born on June 10, 1954 in Marion, Ohio, to John Jr., and Henrietta (Soule) Parsell, both of whom are deceased.  He married Hellowee Villavicencio on November 15, 1975 in the Salem Church of God in rural Marion, and she survives.

He is survived by a brother, John (Jo) Parsell of Upper Sandusky, three sisters, Marsha (Jim) DeGoode-Dunbar of Tiffin, Elaine (Mark) Woodrum of Prospect, and Jane (Steven) McPherson of Morral, along with a special nephew, Roscoe (Robyn) Caceres of Marion.

Mark was a 1972 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to work for the former Tower Automotive in Upper Sandusky for 28 years, and then he drove truck for Holland Trucking in Bowling Green for the past 6 years. 

Mark enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, traveling, especially to Hawaii.  He also was an avid reader about local history, the various wars, and railroad history, and also was able to seemingly fix anything or doing anything that was before him.

A celebration of life service for Mark A. Parsell will be held at 5:00pm Friday, August 12, 2016 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Amy Parsell officiating.
