John E. Borland

John E. Borland, age 84, of Morral, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 3:45pm at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

John was born on December 31, 1932 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Wilton J. and Agnes E. (Herrold) Borland, both of whom are deceased.  He married Sherry Pace on August 18, 1973 and she survives.

He is survived by his children: Cheryl Blair of Alturas, California, Lorraine “Raney” Alleman of Selma, Oregon, Diana Borland of Selma, Oregon, James (Melaney) Borland of McHenry, Illinois, and Edward Borland of Marion, Ohio. 9 grandchildren: Stephenie Blair, Jessie (Karlie) Blair, Dakota Borland, Jacob Borland, Kylie Borland, Allison Borland, David Alleman, Braden Alleman and Jack Alleman. Along with 5 great grandchildren: Kaleb, Hayden, Colton, Ethan and Jonah.

John also is survived by some dear friends, Ed Galindo and Irene Puschman, both of Lancaster, California. 

John was an installer for GTE for over 30 years retiring in 1990.  He graduated from Peabody High School in Pittsburg, and went on to serve our country in the U.S. Airforce during the Korean War.

He enjoyed farming and raising cows in his retirement, along with hunting and traveling with Sherry to see family.

There will be no services for John E. Borland.
