Jasper L. Sines, age 82, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away
on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 3:10am at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.
Jasper was born on September 3, 1934 in Johnstown, Ohio to Carlos and Nellie (Miller) Sines, both of whom are deceased. He is survived by his loving companion of many years, Ann Kimble of Bellefontaine, Ohio.
He is survived by 3 sons: Mark A. Huff of Louisville, Kentucky, John Sines of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Jason Sines of Marion, and 2 daughters: Amanda Wass of Ocala, Florida, and Alicia Crooks of Delaware, Ohio, along 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A son-in-law, Oliver Madison, a sister, Opal Collins, both of Delaware, Ohio and a brother, Clarence (Yvonne) Sines of Ostrander, Ohio also survive.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Debra Madison.
Jasper worked as a millwright for National Lime & Stone in Findlay, Ohio for nearly 40 years. He was active in VFW and served as Post Commander in Delaware, Ohio. Through his work in AA, he had achieved sobriety for 40 years and during the past 20 years, assisted many others in their quest for sobriety.
Funeral services for Jasper Sines will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the
Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating
Military rites will be conducted by the Upper Sandusky Color Guard.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 10, from 11:00am to 2:00pm Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
