Helen M. Daiber

Helen M. Daiber, age 90 of Bucyrus, Ohio, passed away on Friday,

October 21, 2016, at 2:50am at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, with her daughter by her side.

Helen was born on January 30, 1926 in Wyandot County, Ohio to Durain and Izetta (Earp) Walter, both of whom deceased.  She married Paul F. Daiber on March 19, 1949 in the Nevada Methodist Church and he passed away on September 18, 1991.

She is survived by three daughters, Marsha (Michael) Chester, Carol Daiber, and Kay (Mark) Voorhees, all of Bucyrus, Ohio.  Four grandchildren: Phillip (Carissa) Chester, Steven Chester, Eric Voorhees, Beth Marie (Cyrus) Detwiler, and three great grandchildren, Abigail Chester, Kaleb Chester and Haley Chester. 

Helen is also survived by her brother Donald (Pat) Walter of Marysville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Nancy Kemerley, and two brothers, Mervin and James Walter.

Helen was a 1945 graduate of Nevada High School and went on to receive her cosmetology degree from the Columbus Beauty Academy.  Directly out of the academy she worked in Upper Sandusky and Nevada, then for thirty years operated her own salon attached to her home in Lemert, so she could simultaneously raise her three daughters.

For hobbies, she enjoyed sewing, baking, and working outside with her flowers, landscaping and taking care of the yard around the house. 

Helen first love was her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

Private Graveside services for Helen M. Daiber will be held at a later date.  Her family sincerely appreciates all the thoughts and prayers that are being extended.
