Welcome to the memorial page for

Deloris Jean Forman

February 21, 1936 ~ September 29, 2016 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Deloris Jean Forman, 80, of Upper Sandusky went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 6:55 pm Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin.

Born February 21, 1936 in Findlay, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Frances (Stump) Martin. She was also preceded in death by husbands: William Reginald Cole, Robert Lee Marvin, and Earl Forman, Jr., six brothers: Lester Martin, Bob Edwards, Chuck Martin, Al Martin, George Martin, and Ty Martin, and three stepchildren: Sonny Forman, Maggie Craft, and Alice Durron.

Deloris is survived by seven children: Mark (Linda) Cole of Upper Sandusky, Cheri (Edward) Runion of Tiffin, Scott (Sara) Cole of Chattanooga, TN, Cathy Cole of Tiffin, Cindy Moore of Tiffin, Lori (Tom) Paras of Upper Sandusky, and Matt (Tammy) Marvin of Mason, 28 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Juanita Hogan and Carolyn (Mike) McPherson both of Upper Sandusky, and 3 step-children: Leona (Mike) Minor of Upper Sandusky, Dave (Cheryl) Forman of Cambridge, and Pam (Bill) Ferst of Wharton. Further, this list could not begin to contain the countless Brothers & Sisters in Christ whose lives she so richly impacted.

A 1954 graduate of Findlay High School, she was the head of housekeeping at the Wyandot Manor Nursing Home and Wyandot County Nursing Home, both in Upper Sandusky.

Deloris’ love of God was evident and you felt that love every time you spoke with her. When she said hello, you felt welcomed - when she hugged you, you felt loved – and when she prayed with you, you felt peace.  She had a positive impact on everyone she met. Her love of God was evident as she evangelized every chance she was afforded. She strengthened her faith at Restoration Tabernacle in Marion (where she was ordained into the ministry in 1986) and later became a member & Trustee at the Apostolic Gospel Church in Upper Sandusky. She volunteered her time with the Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels program and taught Bible Studies at both Fairhaven Community nursing home and Riddlehaven senior community.

Family and friends will be received from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm on Friday, October 7, 2016 and from 10 to 11 am on Saturday, October 8th at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home located at 476 S. Sandusky Avenue, Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
