Dale F McDaniel

Dale F. McDaniel, age 90, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Dale was born on August 7, 1926 in Wyandot County, Ohio, to Leonard and Oddie (Mosman) McDaniel, both of whom are deceased.  He married Janet Zimmer on September 27, 1980 and she survives.

He is survived by a son, Richard (Patrice) McDaniel of Sarasota, Florida, and a step son James Miller of Tiffin, a step daughter, Cynthia (Richard) Bremer of Advance North Carolina, and 2 step grandchildren, Ryan (Laura) Adams of Toledo, and Brendan Adams of Belleville, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Audrey Amert, 2 brothers, James and Kenneth McDaniel, and 2 sisters, Mary Jean Alban and Doris Delahunty.

Dale was a farmer and worked also for The Timken Company in Bucyrus for 30 years retiring in 1986.

He was a 1944 graduate of Eden High School and went on to serve our country during World War II in the US Navy.

Dale was a member for over 50 years of Emanuel United Church of Christ, Upper Sandusky. He also enjoyed

participating with the activities at the Wyandot County Council on Aging, and was a former member of the Bucyrus Moose Lodge #669, and the Marion Eagles.

For hobbies Dale enjoyed dancing and playing cards.

Funeral services for Dale F. McDaniel will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jay Scott officiating. 

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, February 21, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
