Carolyn R. Leeth

Carolyn R. Leeth, age 79, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Carolyn was born on January 16, 1939 in Tygate Valley, Kentucky to Wilson and Aldean (Hicks) Moore. Later in her childhood, she was raised by her step-mother Joyce Moore, all of whom are deceased.  She was once married to Tom Leeth and he is deceased.

She is survived by her 4 sons: William Ronald (Theresa) Moore of Upper Sandusky, Harold Gregory (Donna) Leeth of Upper Sandusky, Douglas Randal (Lisa) of Lawndale, North Carolina, Robert (Nancy) Leeth of Sycamore, Ohio. 11 grandchildren: Valerie Megan Lands, Trista Kay Moore, Traci Gale Moore, Dawn Marie Leeth, Crystal Kay Vaughn, Brandon Lee Leeth, Anthony Michal Leeth, Shauna Nicole Leeth, Nicole Ashley Leeth, Ashley McDaniel, and Krystal Justice, and 22 great grandchildren.

Carolyn is also survived by 2 sisters, Betty Kay (Don) Ward of Sycamore, Martha “Betty” Shinkle of Zanesville, and 2 brothers, Wilson “Jack” Moore of Upper Sandusky, Robert “Nick” Ruby of Malvern, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson Jeremiah Leeth, daughter in law Lana Leeth, brother William Ruby Jr., sisters, Helen Robertson, Alice Burks, Shirley Smith, and Edna Boyer.  

Carolyn was a homemaker and former member of Heritage Baptist Church in Upper Sandusky. 

She will be remembered as a faithful mother who loved the Lord.

Funeral services for Carolyn R. Leeth will be held at 12:30pm, Wednesday January 24, 2018 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Charles McGlone officiating.   Burial will follow at Benton Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Tuesday, January 23, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
