Audrey M. Coppler

Audrey M. Coppler, age 84, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 2:21am at the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Audrey was born on May 16, 1931 in Wyandot County to Henry and Bernice (Montee) Swihart, both of whom are deceased.    She was once married to Roger Mawer, and then married Melford “Muggs” Coppler on June 11, 1971 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky, and he passed away on November 6, 1999.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Kathy (John) Frayer of Marion, Val (Dave) Bower of Harpster,  Cindy Schmidt of Westerville, Jan (Steve) Anderson, of Harpster, Christine (Bill Gillen Jr) Henderson of Upper Sandusky,   12 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren survive, along with a sister Joyce Pagnard of Upper Sandusky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Doug Mawer, and a grandson Scott Anderson.

Audrey was a 1949 graduate of Harpster High School, and had worked for her father on the farm, along with driving school bus for Upper Sandusky Schools, Honeycreek in Wyandot, IGA in Upper Sandusky, Millington and the Moose Lodge #1093, both in Upper Sandusky.

She was a woman of Christian faith and was active at one time with the American Legion Women’s Auxillary, where she was the historian, and the Moose Lodge #1093 in Upper Sandusky. Audrey also enjoyed bowling, traveling, playing cards and fishing.

Graveside services for Audrey M. Coppler will be held at 10:00am Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Becky King officiating.

There will be no public calling hours.
