Allen E. Barry, Sr., age 78, of LaRue, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 8:00pm, due to injuries sustained in an accident at the intersection of State Hwy 30 and County Hwy 81.

 

Allen was born on August 20, 1938 in Wyandot County to Howard and Clarabelle (Foreman) Barry, both

of whom are deceased.  He married Vivian Oliver on November 7, 1959 in Kenton, Ohio and she survives.

 

He is survived by 2 sons: Allen E. (Jackie) Barry, Jr. of Wharton, and Keven J. (Daleane) Barry of Sycamore. He is also survived by a daughter Judith A. Morris (Charles Roby, Jr.) Allen is also survived by three grandchildren: Dusty Creamer, Amy Morris and Jake McMillion, and 10 great grandchildren: Corwin and Aiden Barry, Trevor and Ethan Tucker, and Jack, Maverick, Ryan, Drew, Coy and Emma Lininger. One grandson, Jeremy Barry is deceased.

 

Allen is survived by two sisters: Phyllis Haney of Marion, Ohio and Carolyn (Bruce) Tackett of Cardington, Ohio, and by three brothers, Howard Barry of Marion, Ohio, Charles (Bert) Barry of Morral, Ohio and Vernon Barry of Marion, Ohio.

 

Two brothers, Dwight and Richard Barry are deceased.

 

Allen was a bricklayer for 40 years, retiring from Gilliam Masonry in Marion in 2000.

 

He enjoyed playing guitar, he loved animals, loved to tinker and never met a stranger.

 

Burial will be at Chandler Cemetery in Marseilles with private family graveside services to be held at a later date.
